Wage and Hour Complaints, What Does It Mean To The Organization?
Wage and Hour complaints are facing every workplace. During her first year in office, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis vowed more aggressive enforcement of workplace laws, repeatedly stating that there is a “new sheriff in town” and that she planned to put “enforcement back in the Department of Labor.” During 2009, the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor hired more than 300 employees (including 293 investigators); in fiscal year 2010, the Division plans to hire an additional 110 investigative employees.
