Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to Focus on Employers in Immigration Crackdown
What employers are being targeted by ICE? Hard to tell except you need to ask yourself this question – What businesses will be a target due to the number of employees they hire for low level positions?
More than 650 businesses have been given “Notice of Inspections” around the country. It’s hard to tell which employers have been notified but soon enough we will see which one’s have been targeted. It is imperative for all businesses to make sure that their Form I-9’s are done and stored in a place that is seperate from other employee information and easy to pull out if you need to.

New Forms I-9: Are you aware of the changes?
The Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services bureau has also published instruction for completing the Form I-9. The instructions contain several significant changes. Employers must be aware of these changes or the company could incur significant financial penalties.
